Growing up in Indonesia, my family and I loved eating noodles—noodles are a staple of our culture! There were noodle shops as far as the eye could see on every corner of every street. Every morning, I would wake up to the aroma of a fresh noodle bowl for breakfast, which became a tradition for our family.
My father loves making noodles from scratch (and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree)! After savouring noodles as a child and learning to make them from scratch, I began experimenting with cooking different Indonesian foods. This is the story of the Bakmi Lim Noodle Project—a legacy to my father.
